In 1965 the Bristol Group put on a station for a local trade exhibition, they were able to sign GB3BRS (” Bristol Radio Show “) running the station on Top Band and 20 metres. 80m could not be used because of TVI caused to a video tape recorder. In spite of a high local noise level and poor aerial siting, more than 20 countries were worked on 20m, and locals on Top Band.
