Contesting Software

In the early days of Amateur Radio Contesting most logging was done using paper logs and some method of duplicate checking. Often the task of checking the log after the contest would take some time, sometimes as long as the contest itself. The final log would be sent in the post for adjudication.. a fairly manual process which meant it took some time before the result was known.

These days there are several excellent contest loggers, electronic mail, and adjudication software used by the contest organisers to make the process relatively painless. This has greatly reduced time between contest and results.

Rather than go into depth on any specific software we will just list the most popular software used in our group.
